TMBR Wood Watch Review

Image
A few weeks ago, TMBR wood watches reached out to me to collaborate. While I enjoy such partnerships, I'm very particular about what I share with you all here because authenticity is important to me and as such, anything I share with you has to be a natural fit into my mostly classic wardrobe as well as something I'd truly recommend. After having the opportunity to wear it on a few different occasions, I can say that my new rose gold wood-face helm watch fits that bill, TMBR also has a handful of other beautiful  women's wood watches . What I like most is that it's so versatile for everyday wear because the face is light and simple, the brown leather band adds a bit of a casual aesthetic but the rose gold balances it out as it adds a feminine vibe, it's also affordable at under $100. A classy woman should invest in a few different watches for her wardrobe to coordinate with various outfits. I like how this one is different than the others I already own, a great addi...

February Classy Fashion Favorites

Image
Happy early spring! The weather here in the Bay Area has ranged from the 50's to the low-70's. While I've mostly been bundled up in a scarf and coat for chilly early mornings, I did get to shed those layers to enjoy my first dip in the pool a couple weeks ago! That said, I'm sharing a mix of both cooler weather staples such as classic coats coupled with swimwear as many plan an escape from the cold and we move towards open-toed shoes once again. A few notable trends for springs are: black & white gingham paired with denim, ruffles, stripes, the colors lavender as well as yellow (particularly a hue of golden mustard) and accentuated sleeves of all types. As always, I like to work in a few trends while maintaining a classic aesthetic that can be enjoyed for many years to come. 25 Characteristics of a Gentleman

Image
A classy woman always strives to offer the very best of herself, and in turn, she also expects that level of excellence to be reciprocated by others, especially the leading man in her life. When it comes to dating and whom she will choose to spend her time with (and ultimately her future), she is very selective which both respects her time as well as her potential date's. At first glance, many men may appear to be a suitable partner or come across as a gentleman, for her to later discover it was a show put on over the course of a few dates. As many of us have learned, it is only through the consistency of both time and experience that we will get to know someone's true character, behavior, thought process and values. Not unlike the spirit of a lady, being a gentleman is a lifestyle-one must live it and not simply act like one, when needed. I'm sharing what I believe are the 25 Characteristics of a Gentleman as I've received countless inquiries pertaining to dating advic...

September Classy Fashion Favorites

JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Autumn officially began just a few days ago and I have to say that as much as I love summer, the warmer temps it brings and the easy breezy wardrobe options that it offers, there is always something so cozy about this transitional time of year as we lead into fall-my favorite season. I'm wearing jeans and a sweater as I type this, our first of many cooler days after a massive month long heat wave from 90-107 degrees that seemed to dominate every weekend of August. This year I'm enjoying all the soft velvet we're seeing in bold, deep hues and the ruffle trend continuing. I'm still a huge fan of booties so I've shared several options that can be dressed up or down-I'm loving this pair of black booties , they are on my wish list! They also come in a riding boot version which are currently on sale. Being a dress lover, I had to include several dresses also that I've had my e...

Blue x White Summer Style

Image
Fall may officially be around the corner in just 2 weeks, however we've been experiencing quite the heat wave these past weeks. We hit 107 degrees last weekend, so naturally we escaped to the coolest place we could find-Monterey, just 90 mins south-it was perfection! Right now I feel as though we're enjoying an endless summer, which is fine by me as a lover of dresses, pastels, light + airy fabrics and sunshine warming my skin. This adorable peter pan ruffle sleeve top was a new addition to my closet that pairs well with white denim, shorts and long maxi skirts, red bottoms make for a fun patriotic look as well. Right now it's on sale for just $17 and comes in a gingham print also. For me, finding a quality pair of white jeans that are thick enough not to be see-through, yet have a bit of stretch and are comfortable and offer the right fit has been a bit of a challenge, but as always Ann Taylor never disappoints. I own a lot of their denim, what I've found is that the...

JORD Wood Watch Review + Giveaway

Image
When JORD Watches reached out to me weeks ago to collaborate, I approached it the way I always do when such opportunities come my way, I first researched their website, then dug a little deeper to learn what customers were saying before saying 'yes'. It's important to me that I only share products and brands with you, my readers, that meet the highest standards and are in fact items I would use/wear. After choosing my favorite style and providing my wrist measurements (they provide a really easy tool to get the right fit), I was delighted to open up the box once my watch arrived. All of their watches come in this wooden embossed JORD logo box hugging a pillow to keep it in place which protects and houses the watch when you're not wearing it. There are anti-humidity packs that slide into a little ventilated drawer under the watch to help regulate humidity-important for wood. While I had my eye on a few different styles, in the end I chose the Koa and rose gold model fro...

A Black Monochromatic Outfit Styled 3 Ways

Hello Lovelies and Happy New Year! Although I've been absent from blogging for a while, I couldn't begin my first post of 2017 without wishing you all a blessed, fun and prosperous year ahead!! Today, I'm sharing with you a few recent looks I put together that I hope will inspire your own wardrobe as we enjoy what's left of winter and prepare for spring. MakeMeChic recently reached out to partner with me and since I was in the process of still stocking my closet with cold weather pieces after moving to Northern California with mainly an all-summer wardrobe after having lived in Florida for the past 10 years. I couldn't resist selecting 3 new jackets. I wanted to show how you could essentially take the same core outfit (in this case it was black denim + a black tee) and transform it into a few entirely different looks just by alternating a few accessories and of course the addition of a jacket. What I love about all 3 options is that they are so affordable (each is u...
